Hi all,
I need an advice as I am new on this field and want to buy a KIA Stinger, diesel verstion, fabricated in 2019. I found a kia stinger 2.2 which is diesel model but which has an uncommon feature, meaning it has double exhaust pipelines, on both sides, like the petrol versions. . The dealer said that everything is original, from factory, but I did not find this kind of option for diesel versions and I am really in doubt of the dealer answer. Are you aware if such models were fabricated?
Thank you in advance for your answer.

I've never seen a diesel version with double exhaust. Did you look underneath? It should be easy to spot if the exhaust was changed.
Sadly, you'll find close to zero diesel owners on this forum because it was not really sold outside of Europe.
If you ask me I'd say buy the 2.0. I don't see any benefit for the 2.2 except for the lower price.

PS: If you really want to check, get the VIN number of that specific car and go to a Kia dealer and ask to give you an offer for an exhaust. They'll be able to print out the part number and you can check if it's single or double. You can also do it with the rear lower bumper. The diesel one should have only one cut-out on the right side.

Thank you Andrei. Indeed it's a bit uncommon, nevertheless it would make the care nicer :). Car is located in Germany I will visit the dealer next month and I will check it better. Agree that the petrol are for sure more fun to drive than the diesel ones which is also heavier, less power, but in my case I would use it mainly for long distances and the 4wd would be an advantage in the winter. For the GT taxes are crazy in Romania :)

I had the 2.0 petrol Stinger Blue Edition. I'd recommend the Diesel or the Petrol V6 as the fuel economy on the 2.0 petrol was horrible. Even a Kia Technician advised me to get the 3.3 V6 for better fuel economy! I'm based in England.

I have the 2.0 and I can tell you the fuel economy is very good for cruising on highways.
I cruise at 140 km/h and have a consumption of 8.2-8.4 litres/100km with the 19" wheels. The 3.3 will not go below 9.5-10 in those conditions.
If you drive it in town.. a gt car doesn't really make sense anyway.

Also, you can even get amazing fuel consumption if there is close to no traffic. Check this out! Como to Budapest constantly with +10km/h over the speed limit.

BTW, you might have had the GPF regeneration problem. That was causing around +3litres of extra fuel consumption. But that was fixed long time ago with a recall for an ECU update.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
