I have the 2023 Stinger GT 3.3L 269kW model. I did the engine break in procedure pretty much as instructed. In user manuals for European markets the instruction is to not exceed 3000 RPM for 1000km (600 miles). I believe in US the equivalent instruction is to stay between 2000-4000RPM. Not sure why there is such a difference.
As soon the mileage exceeded 1000km I started stepping on the gas more. Now at 1300km, I've taken the engine to 6000 RPM many times (happens easily in sport mode). My question is: should you still take it easy after 1000km and raise RPM gradually or is it ok to do such RPMs right after 1000km?
I'm not looking to break in the engine in the very best way, but in a way that doesn't have any negative effects on it.
