Hello my name is Damian and I'm a new Stinger GT1 (white) owner as of this morning from CT, USA. I'm taking inventory on Monday but until then I want to intruduce myself and start reading up on some mods for this car. Any first mod recommendations big or small are welcome.

...and finally a picture of my outgoing 2011 STi

Although it will be different, the Stinger is a natural replacement for the Subaru. My GT2 replaced a '15 WRX Premium this past Feb. The handling isn't quite as good, but the ride is a lot better and I love all the modern toys.

Howdy. The only mod I have is the Eibach rear sway bar. Ride quality remains the same while handling is improved markedly: in the areas of twitchiness and hop/float over road imperfections, especially noticeable when cornering at a "spirited" speed.

Its so much quieter than the STi and I did take it for a spirited test drive and was quite happy. Don't get me wrong shes no STi in handling but Im ok with that.

Yes definitely, I prefer a stiffer ride but thats maybe because I'm used to a super stiff suspension.

Welcome.

Sway bars are a great and easy upgrade that most seem happy with. Since you have a GT1 with electronic suspension (I think), check out the thread on the Mando ECS control module, it would let you customize the ride even more.

There's a fair amount of performance mods, the biggest gains will be from intakes and a tune (most here use the JB4, but there are others).

The stock wheels are heavy, so there's probably some benefit to be had with a lighter setup (my next upgrade)

Good luck and happy modding.

Congrats @Drudge on your beautiful new car, welcome to the Hive, plenty of info here, enjoy ! :)

Welcome and know, you are not alone in coming from a Subie to a Stinger. It's a bit of an adjustment lol. I came from an 02 WRX to a GT1. You might miss the Subie every now and then but you won't regret it.

Welcome. My '05 Legacy GT wagon finally gave up the ghost.. Enter '19 Stinger GT1.

It's been almost two weeks since I took inventory of this beauty and I couldn't be happier.

PS - This forum is really great so many people willing to help, thank you everyone....and a pic of the whip :)
