I will be starting my build on my GT1. This past week has been like Christmas. Our KDM badges arrived, our spoiler and diffuser was painted, and our Ark GRIP arrived.

I’m hopeful to get everything installed in the next few days. I know many members will be interested in th interior exhaust noise and I will do my best capture a video and post updates.

Can you post pictures/video showing how flexible the rear diffuser is? People have commented about it being thin and flexible which has kept me from looking into them more but I’d like to see how bad it really is.

I will get a few pictures today or tomorrow for you. The spoiler and diffuser are both thin and flexible. They look nice, but aren’t the sturdiest products I’ve ever held.

Thanks. While I know they are not structural parts I worry about someone trying to close the hatch by grabbing the spoiler or somehow bumping against the diffuser while unloading the car.

I’m not too worried about the diffuser. The spoiler I’ll make sure the kids don’t close the trunk. I’m going to run a line of 3M doubles sided tape around the exterior of both the spoiler and diffuser. I’m hopefully that will do the trick.

You’re a busy person! Love to see pics when done.

Not the best pictures of the diffuser, but you can see how thick the piece is. Hope this helps.

I received my Type G M&S spoiler last week and I can confirm that is not very sturdy, one of the drawbacks of having parts made out of ABS plastic, fiberglass would've been a better material IMHO.
If you have a GT2 you don't need to worry about damaging the spoiler when closing the hatch as you can teach the kids to just push the button.
If you don't have the motorized hatch, then you need to teach them to use the handle on the right of the hatch, you can easily see it when its opened.

Keep us posted on the progress
