I don't really use Start/Stop, but sometimes forget to disable it. Sometimes, when the engine is powered off and I want to continue after a minute or two, the car jumps back to live with a really hard kick into the drivetrain ... like letting your clutch drop instantly in a manual or so.

Does anyone else have this? This can't be normal or good.

I have Start/Stop enabled pretty much all the time, and it works quite smoothly. As soon as lift my foot from the brake pedal it fires up with no perceptible shock to to the driveline - quite seamless, really.

If I'm sitting in 'Stop' mode for a very long time, it occasionally will start on it's own to maintain heating/cooling, etc. - but again it's very smooth and unobtrusive.

That happens to me on occasion. I think it's when the car starts to roll a little backward immediately before it re-starts--then it engages the driveline with a jolt.

I have had this happen so hard my head hit the headrest. I thought I was rear ended. It happened when the car was new and now that I've logged some miles on it, the feature has smoothed out.

I actually got nervous a few times shutting it off and waited until I was moving to turn the feature off. It only happened when I pressed the button at a stop light.

I think you see this more if you are using auto hold as well because your applying gas pedal pressure I think it lurches more then if you are not using auto hold.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
One of the reasons I shut it off every single damn time I start the car - or swear at myself when I forget. Hate the auto start/stop.

Yup, I'm going to do the whole ghetto business card under the plate trick to turn it off for good lol
