I just bought a set after seeing them installed on someone's car in one of the FB groups. I'll install once it gets warmer to insure that the adhesive sticks

Got them. Double sided tape they come with will not stick to door plastic.

Mine don’t fit the curvature of the stock speaker “grill” completely. Was that the case with yours? I think the person on FB mentioned having to bend theirs a little to match the curvature. Hopefully if I can get the fit right, I might have some luck

Yes, i had to bend mine a little, too. The biggest problem you'll have is finding the way to attach it to panel. Double sided tape doesn't work with that plastic Grill weekend (no steak involved)

Uggh. I guess I’ll be doing some research this weekend. They look very good in that picture of your car. Definitely worth it to get this figured out.

Yea, let us know if you can find the way. It does look good. But for now, i am driving with just driver side grill (surprisingly is still holding)

The guy on FB said he used alcohol to clean and a heat gun to warm everything up when someone asked about the grills popping off. I want something that I know for sure should work.

Have you tried wiping around the plastic speaker grill perimeter with an alcohol wipe & also replace that double sided tape with 3M automotive tape should stick bettter.

Yep. Cleaned it with alcohol. And tried two different tapes. Automotive extreme and gorila tape. Was thinking about using epoxy. But that will be too messy.

I actually took the panel off the door, so i could lay it down.

Oh bummer, yeah don’t use epoxy, not worth it. Have you had any interior finish applied to the car or do you use any silicone based spray/liquid ie: Armorall to the surfaces.

Yes, i use some plastic cleaner/protector on it. But i think the alcohol removed it.

You might have to give it a few wipes/clean over a couple of days to ensure it’s clean of any residue, also it’s not too cold is it.
Also check your hardware store for outdoor double sided tape, I had a similar issue getting my throttle controller to stay in place & this cleaning method & outdoor double sided tape did the trick.

I installed mine today and they went on perfect. I did clean door with alcohol and heated up grill and door with hair dryer, I also had a 3m adhesion promoter swap I used. Will report back if they stay on.

If that doesn’t work, you could try 3M trim adhesive glue that comes in a tube. I’ve used it for a stainless steel Corvette script on the back of my C6 Corvette and on arm rest pads on the doors in the same car. It worked in both instances.
