Well first let me say shout out to Shah and Zayn who are the owners of @SSR Performance . They are both amazing dudes who love and have a passion towards cars, as i do. There shop is amazing, they do awesome work if u ever need something done. Its located in Orange, CA which is not to far from me. So today i picked up my car from there shop, i pull up and my car was outside. When i walked in to talk them, i saw the axle-back exhaust for the stinger. It looked amazing the welds are on point very solid. The material they used u can tell is very good and the finish is super clean. I will be getting that next and do a review on that as well.

So now onto the downpipes. I get in my car turn it on i can tell at idle it sounded different. i was liking it. so guess what i did next....... come on guess... it starts with a S. haha ok if you said sport mode then you are right. so as i was leaving the shop i floored it and sure enough i could tell the difference. before i had just intakes on and when i punch it was a little fast than stock.. but as right now my intakes r off so its stock minus these downpipes. let me tell u it was a way better increase in performance than my intakes. i feel like it has more torq and power to the wheels. my tires actually chripped a little at one point and it never did that when i floored it with intakes. the tone of it sounds amazing it was the aggressive deep sound i was looking for. it still not super loud like if i had a exhuast but u can still tell its a better sound than stock. Like shah said in 3.3TT - Join us on our journey... SSR PERFORMANCE Power Pack 3 Development! it does have a little burble in high end which sounds amazingly awesome in person. So far i am loving the product and I'm sure whoever else orders these will same the same or i personally will give u ur money back guarantee. jk i wish i was a baller like that. but no for reals its a good investment. A must have for performance upgrade. Cant wait for axle back and then the intakes from SSR Performance.

here are some sound clips i was able to do tonight
one from the right side exhaust of the car from cold start

left side exhaust after returning home

underneath car video not the best you can hear the engine more i think

Moved this thread to the correct forum. Vendor Reviews is for feedback on the company and not products.

Is there any drone at cruising speeds?

Nice review and thanks for posting. I’ve been following SSRs development and interested in their axleback. I look forward to your next review on that piece too.

Hard to tell in the videos, but sounds similar to stock with a deeper rumble. I do notice a new rasp at higher rpm which reminds me of the rasp in the Borla catback. I mostly notice that sound in the first video and assume that came from the DPs?

I’m hoping for more low rumble and less rasp from the axleback, similar to the NGM Zeta.
The Zeta I liked first, but if the SSR sounds as good I may get theirs instead. Think these are the only two axlebacks available for the Stinger so I hope someone posts videos of just the axleback so we can directly compare the two.

I look forward to your next review and appreciate the videos so far. Thanks again and happy tuning!

Hello, just wondering how much this changes the sound of the car? I just want somthing a little louder then stock but not super loud. Right now outside the car it’s very quite even at full throttle.

Well @Adamdan if u r looking for something a little louder than stock but close to it. I would highly recommended these downpipes. They do just that plus I can tell that there’s a lot more torque throughout the powerband. U should place a order before they go on back order!

I was looking at the jun downpipes the two look very similar. I was thinking those and k&n panel filters.

@niko or @SSR Performance any drone on the stock mufflers?
no drone with stock muffler, i drove it on the freeway all the way up to big bear this past weekend with a full car of people. there was no complaints of any drone. on full acceleration its louder but not that loud to cause drone; cruising freeway speed was just like stock sound.

Hey guys!

Finally, the day has come! I dyno tested the 3.3TT today with our SSR Performance Competition series downpipes (which can be purchased by clicking HERE). It's been super busy around the shop, but I always set the Stinger fam in the priority category!

I am beyond excited to show / tell you guys what I am about to. I could not be ANY happier with the results of our dyno run today. We took the same car, the same dyno, and tested ONLY our SSR Performance downpipes. No tune. Nothing other than the downpipes were touched on the vehicle.

I compared the highest stock baseline run that we got the last time I was at the dyno and put it up against the new numbers the car made.

ARE YOU READY FOR THIS????? I don't think anyone is.....

FEAST YOUR EYES

That is a 30WHP increase and a 26WTQ WITH JUST SSR DOWNPIPES!!!
Talk about BANG FOR YOUR BUCK!

Guys....look at those beautiful curves!!! The whole powerband was increased almost evenly with both torque and horsepower. This is amazing stuff!!! The area under the curve is a lot higher now as well. So now when the car pulls, it keeps pulling. The sound is intoxicating. The power is VERY noticeable. I can confidently say that our hard work has really paid off.

Watch this video to see it all go down and hear all of my thoughts on the whole thing!

I hope you guys enjoy watching and don't forget to show your support by going ahead and purchasing these downpipes on our website by clicking HERE!

Wow. Very impressive numbers and thanks for the updates.

Can’t wait to see what the axle back can do and keep up the great work.

That’s some great numbers, how do your pipes differ from Jun downpipes? And how much did it change the sound? Thanks!

it change the sound from oem quiet to deep agrees sound if u r looking for something louder than stock but not as loud as a exhaust system than these r for u. btw u can really tell the power difference.

Wasn’t able to confirm but they should be basically the same. They are all just muffler deletes and all should be similar. There’s a few members on here that posted videos & descriptions of muffler deletes. Few on YouTube as well. Hope that helps and happy tuning.

Much appreciated for the reply. Yeah I've been looked through videos everywhere for the last few months. Hoping the drone will be acceptable. Problem is I don't want to order one and get stuck with the sound I do not like as it would sound slightly different through speakers and then not be able to return it. But I appreciate the info. :)
