So I bought the SSR muffler deletes about 2 months ago and while the car does sound amazing the drone is absolutely awful in my car under load. Unfortunately I live in the mountains so my car is under load quite a bit. I just had a baby at the end of October so I decided to add some Vibrant resonators to the setup to help with the drone. I’ll post a video tomorrow or later this week when I get a chance.

As much as i hope that this works for you, its quite silly really that you have to modify a modification. Resonators should be part of the axle back.

Buy the aftermarket part......
Pay to have it installed.....
Pay to have it removed....
Pay to have the modded part modded some more....
Pay to have it re-installed.....
Place a Want Ad for an OEM part....
Pay for the OEM part and pay to have it shipped to you....
Pay to have the modded mod part removed and have the OEM part installed.....
Sell the modded mod part at a loss.......

The whole point of this part is to remove the mufflers, therefore a resonator wouldn't really be a bad idea.

It's a kit to delete the mufflers at home. No one HAS to modify it. But buyers should know that a car with no mufflers will be loud and drone.

Totally expected the drone as one would without having mufflers but its a bit too much for my daily driver. I had a completely gutted R33 Skyline that was straight piped that had less drone than the Stinger does which is kinda crazy but it is what it is.

As far as that goes I do all my work myself besides the welding which cost me a whopping 40 dollars and a 20 minute drive to my friend's shop so I'm fine with it. The over all sound is more of a low rumble now and the drone is still there but its much better in the cabin now thankfully.

Some of that is probably due to being a hatchback.

My post wasn't directed at you, RickySpanish, in particular. It just seems that there's an unusually large number of members on the Stinger forums that buy aftermarket parts, install them, aren't happy with them for whatever reason, then swap them for other aftermarket parts or to re-install OEM parts. Seems like a really expensive way to run around in circles, and go basically nowhere.

Absolutely it is. Im going to put some sound deadening in the hatch area when I get a chance this weekend hopefully. Being that its a hatch is also why I opted to put the resonators near the end of the muffler which is right in the area under the big open area. I drove my car with the hem mufflers off for a while and my car had almost no drone at all as compared to having the muffler deletes.

Its all good, I understand what you were getting at and I agree. My problem is the stock exhaust is just hot trash when it comes to the design and while the muffler deletes sound awesome was a bit too much for what I wanted so I decided to just tone them down a bit. I'll probably never put a catback on it because I'm not really planning on keeping it a whole lot longer and I'm also saving my money to get a clean example of an R34 Skyline when they're available to import lol. So in long thats why I went the route I did haha.

Hope your R34 Skyline works out for you! One of my recent vehicles was an R35 GT-R. What an amazing vehicle that was!
I understand about the exhaust. Too quiet for my taste under acceleration as well. My GT-R had a turbo back 90 mm exhaust--Catless downpipes (couldn't have high flow cats as I tracked the car), mufflered midpipe with high flow cats, and mufflered cat back exhaust. Gave ne about 35-40 wheel HP in total with a nice deep growl under acceleration. The track I used to frequent mandated sound measurements on all cars. The sound level on my modded car was within 1 Db of the OEM sound level, and at 75 MPH on the highway cruising in 6th gear... no exhaust sound whatsoever....just a slight hum from the engine, some tire and wind noise. Almost eerie! You could easily hold a normal conversation in that car at that speed. It was a full bolt-on, tuned car with 545HP at the wheels. Drove just like stock until you pressed with your right foot. At that time, I had a large 3 bay garage with a Mohawk 10K lb. 2 post lift and did all the work to the car myself. Had about 200 hours into it. When done right, mods can work out really well!!
