So I see Dyno charts saying ssr downpipes make 30whp without a tune.

So if I have a jb4 on map 2 making 400ish who. Would I expect to make an additional 30 from the midpipes?

I would not bet on it.

I think it's already been said that without tune you can get up to 30hp with the downpipes but with the tune you will not any may only get up to 5hp over just having the tune. My guess it's the ol you can only get so much juice from a grape no matter how hard you squeeze it.

Besides looks and $$, would there be any performance difference/gain between doing a rear cat delete or going with this or anyone else's downpipes?

What looks are you talking about?

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Bright and shiny vs. not bright and fancy pipe from an exhaust shop.

So, you have an 4 post lift in your garage and store the Stinger on the upper level? That's cool ;)

Not sure what options you are laying out in post #4 but I think that most of the exhaust systems out there will give you pretty similar power as long as they are the same diameter piping.
Ex: Jun BL vs SSR vs custom secondary downpipes, or the miriad of cat back options vs one another.

thats how it really works. Most will have the same gains.

Maybe I didn't quite ask my question correctly? I got an exhaust shop to cut out the downstream cats and put in a piece of straight pipe, 10" or so. What I'm trying to find out is if there would be any benefit of getting the SSR pipes, that replace the whole pipe section, and I believe change it to a round pipe, or is it basically the same as what I've had done just keeping the flatish/oval OE pipes.

I wouldn't bother. May add 1 hp going to a round 2.5 but the Cat is the main thing. So 5 hp instead of 4 hp. :)
