• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Hi Canadian friends, have any of you guys found condensation in the middle hatch taillight, and saw that there was a crack in the middle that came from nowhere?

Just want to see how many ppl had this before I ask the dealer to look at it for a warranty claim. The plastic is really thin on this assembly, not sure if it was for weight savings or for cost savings. Mine isn’t aging very well. One year and the black chrome window trim has faded too.

I got a middle crack. Not pretty
Hmmm, sucky. Did you try to make a warranty claim? Any luck? I’m going to speak to my dealer about it. I didn’t do anything, so I want to see if lots of ppl have the issue so I have more proof I didn’t do anything because they will probably say I caused the crack (which I didn’t!)

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I also had a small crack in the centre portion of my tail light strip. First noticed it about a year after I got the car (which I’ve now had for 3 years), at the same time that I first noticed condensation in the tail lights.

About 3 weeks ago I discovered that both my reverse light and inner tail light on the passenger side had both failed. I changed out the reserve light and found the old one was badly corroded. The driver’s side bulb was also corroded but hadn’t yet failed.

Unfortunately, the tail light LEDs can’t be changed out and I was quoted $1,500 for a new tail light assembly. A bit of back and forth with the dealership and the owner of it resulted in me getting it replaced under warranty.

More detail is given here:
