I know the recommended plug is the Denso 5346 (IKH24) @14mm but is the pitch 1.25" or 1.5"?

Update: I dug a little deeper, they are 1.25.....

I just used a spark plug socket and a big C clamp.

No need for fancy contraptions.

Hmm, that's actually a great idea, thanks for sharing!

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I closed the gap on mine with lights taps on a solid tabletop, as I've done with every other spark plug on vehicles I've worked on - it doesn't take much pressure to adjust them. If you're unsure, start with light taps, measure, and increase the pressure if needed.

Others put the plug in a fixture (vise, etc.) and use light taps from a hammer to close it. As long as you make small adjustments, measure after every tap, and do nothing that puts any pressure on the center electrode, it's pretty hard to go wrong.

Out of six plugs, I overshot on one and had to bend the outer electrode back up slightly with a spark plug gap tool:

These cheap gauges get a bad rap, as people don't know how to use them. As long as they are used correctly, using the outer ring for MEASUREMENT only (not to try and pry open a plug gap) and only the inner 'opener' ring to bend the outer electrode, they work great - you can tell in seconds exactly where the gap is set, without having to swap between fixed dimension flat feeler gauges, wires, etc.
