Some Non-marketing Interviews

I must say, Albert Biermann has me thinking this car is comfortable to drive and at the same time handles really well and is quite safe at high speeds. He talked a lot about stability. But what is it that's missing that real enthusiasts might want as a feature? He mentioned that if a lot of enthusiasts buy the Stinger they'll be making changes. I'm guessing GT drivers and enthusiast drivers differ in various ways. I've never put a lot of thought into that.

What's missing is going to be a bit of resistance to body roll and grip in the corners. This might be mitigated a little bit with the supposedly wider wheel track (wider than what? I don't know). You could take things into your own hands and with some stiffer springs and thicker anti-roll bars if such things become available aftermarket . And you could opt for the 2.0L/4cyl to save some weight up front, and mod for more power as you see fit.

Yes was good to hear, hearing high speed stability talk means that it should translate to that luxurious quiet drive every other time. Tick and Tick ,for me. I've also read/heard about that the seating position, being reported before, being purposefully low, to feel like your immersed in the cars cockpit. It is sounding like a legitimate "drivers" car. Yes please.

Okay, it all sounds pretty good to me but I'm 5'1" tall! I hope I can raise that seat up or I'm going to look like an old lady at the wheel who can barely see out the window. LOL

Kia targets the 5th to 95th percentiles for adult human measurements (as do most car manufacturers).

So that translates to the following:
  • Height: 4 foot 11 inches to 6 foot 2 inches
  • Weight: ~100 lbs. to ~275 lbs

Kia also claims they can accommodate people outside those ranges comfortably, depending on the model. For example, the Optima, which I believe you currently drive, can comfortably fit individuals over the 95th percentile for both height and weight.

I am 6'5" (falling outside the design parameters) so I have the opposite concern. I am hoping the low seating position provides ample head room, hahaha.

What?! :p

Thank you for the links! I'll read them tonight.

Well that's good to know. And boy are you tall! I guess you're not a big fan of sunroofs. :p

If they are optional, I never check that box ;).

I am also hoping someone can actually sit "comfortably" directly behind me in the Stinger. Fingers crossed.
