So, do I report the problem or am I blessed?

For the past few weeks my GT2 hasn’t been doing the Engine Stop Start function. I’m a bit concerned if it means a real problem but it’s kinda nice not to turn off at the exact wrong time. I know many would love the option to defeat this without a tune, if even possible. I’m confused. Help me.
Symptoms, it shows the symbol as orange/yellow and the light on the defeat button comes on. Once in a blue moon it functions correctly but generally, not.

I don’t have anything else wrong so my next dealer visit will be the free oil change. Do I report it?

In AZ mine works like this all the time due to AC blasting and high temps. In the cooler mornings it does function proper. I dont believe yours is malfunctioning at all, but rather functioning properly based on ambient conditions. I have also noticed that mine will show AMBER shortly after starting most likely due to elec system capacity.

I see the AMBER alot with the hotter outside temps and AC blasting.

Idle stop not operating on new Stinger GT2?
It is just preventing undue drain on the electrical system. As I opined on this thread, ISG is just a politically correct feature, so that the Stinger can claim to be running conscientiously, saving gas emissions while it also saves on gas. I turn mine off. Not because I think being conscientious about the planet is bad but because ISG does not work often enough to bother; and when it does work it is when I am pushing the brake to put it in "P" to shut down. Eh?! Annoying! Also, I am not convinced by the assertion that modern cars are not wearing the starter motor system unduly by shutting off and on repeatedly.

I just saw the other thread. I do have the A/C running but did before too. Not especially hot now. I’ll keep an eye on it and look for other issues. I leave a cable plugged in, is it shorting the system? Don’t know, I’ll yank it an see if things change. I’ve used that cable for CarPlay since I got the car.

So, I turned off the A/C. Drove the car with the windows open. When it warmed and I got to a stoplight, it turned off, green symbol. It’s been working since and I turned the A/C back on and it still is working. Fixed! I generally leave the A/C on, unless I want to open up the car.
