right between the trans and engine. The mechanic said he has seen this before with this design. But want to make sure this has nothing but ok do with the jb4 before I take it in for warranty work.
Honestly, if you are not "friends" with the service department, I would remove it if it is easy. Coming from a TT SHO, I removed my tune any time I brought it in for service. Easy to switch back. Why give Kia a chance to deny a valid claim.
I had the exact same problem and my transmission was replaced under warranty.
here is what I recommend, wipe it off with brake cleaner and see if you get more leaks.
there were other people who didn't see more leakage after cleaning it. some claims it's from the assembly from the factory.
unfortunately mine kept leaking and it was the transmission oil that was leaking through that seam.
