Purchased 1week ago brand new 2020 with Snow White Pearl color. There are now small brown spots , not surface , all over the trunk. Anyone have advice how to remove or has anyone else had this problem?

Normal (rail dust) you need to use some iron remover like Carpro iron X or similar product before wash. If you have lots of contamination the liquid will turn purple.

Either a lot of elbow grease with a clay bar (like I did recently) or use a clay bar after using an iron and fallout remover. I use Griots garage iron and fallout remover.

afterwards, quickly apply a good liquid or paste wax to protect it from happening again. Doesn’t completely keep it from happening, but cuts down immensely.

This type of contamination has been reported on the forum; but I wouldn't say that it's a frequent complaint. "Rail dust" is analogous to "warped rotors" when discussing vibrating brakes: it's also a catch-all term for gunk in the air landing on our cars and sticking. That yours is only on the hatch indicates, to me, that you experienced a very localized pollutant. It could be actual "rail dust" but is probably not.

Either way, when I see anything that distilled water and ONR doesn't get off, my first "next step" is a bit of isopropyl alcohol on a cotton rag: dab and pinch, spot by spot. If that doesn't touch it, then it's time to go for the big guns: an actual compound dedicated for the purpose, and there are a lot of them to add to Iron X. So far, I haven't had to buy anything because up till a short time ago I had the last few drops of Thoro (if you can believe it); it was, until Greenies said it was bad, the ultimate spot remover.

Anyway, not that much help I know (unless isopropyl alcohol actually does take off what's on your hatch lid). So, consider this a bloated "welcome to the forum", too. :D

IMO, I would start with clay and if that doesn't work, just go right to Iron-X or Meguiar's Mirror Bright Wheel Cleaner. Same ingredients but much cheaper than Iron-X. Keep it away from black plastic trim. The problem is not unique to Stingers, but it is most obvious on white or very brightly painted cars. Search around the Internet and you'll find it on white work trucks, box trucks, police cars, etc.

Yeah, I don’t see it on my wife’s silver car, but the remover sure does turn deep purple when I use it on her car. I haven’t noticed the Griots garage version do anything to any of my trim yet.
