Hi all, decided to visit my local dealership, to enquire about some information given by Kia Australia to one of our forum members, the member was told he needed to have a VIN number to a vehicle, or else it could be a six month wait, my salesman checked this info, and confirmed it to be untrue, how can you have a VIN number if the car has not even been built ? My salesman told me a current 4 month wait is very possible at the moment here in Australia, and yet tv commercials on the Stinger have not aired, not until New Year's Day, which should only increase the wait.

The BIG NEWS and the main reason on this current 4 month wait is the shortage of the 3.3ltr V6 TT engines, and YES you read it right, not enough V6 engines, i actually hope he got it wrong ?

Visited the South Melb dealership about 2 weeks back and test drove both the 3.3 and 2.0L variants. They had a couple of GTs ready to drive away and if any orders were to be placed, was told that it would arrive Feb 2018.

Well, there you go , seems every dealership says something different, unless of course, this shortage, if it actually exists, has only recently become more serious, if no other forum members hear about it, maybe my dealership has been misinformed.

That would be dealer stock you'd get. Mine was on order for 4months I ended up for-going red nappa leather because the dealer swapped his white pearl stock for Deep chrome blue with black leather with another dealer.

Also, there seems to be quite a few Stingers in dealerships right now, like Ozstung mentioned about dealer stock, if i understand it right, so i guess maybe there is no need to wait? But for some like myself, i want too wait until it arrives on the car carrier.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
