Hey everyone! I’m up in the Seattle area.

After selling a pair of S1000RR race bikes and taking a break from track riding, I decided to buy a street car with AWD and a decent amount of power. I was originally in the market for an STI, but the engine is so unreliable at over 400whp and the car just looks so juvenile that I decided to look around at other options.

While taking a ride in an Audi RS5 I sort of fell in love with the sound of a turbo 6 and it was only a matter of time before I found the Stinger.

My plan is to buy a 2020 GT2 at the end of the year if there are any left. Willing to fly and drive
home. If anyone has any haggling tricks for the Kia dealerships, I’m all ears. My contacts thus far have been... unimpressive.

I plan to break it in, then immediately mod the car with the Burger Tuning 450hp package, sway bars, end links, and a full exhaust. If you folks have any feedback on that mod path or know of other immediately required mods to sharpen the car up, I’m all ears.

Thanks!
-Kirk

Welcome to the hive! Shopping around is going to be your best bet, especially if travel isn't out of the question. The only issue you might have is finding the colour combo you want as with the 2021 on the horizon inventory is going to be low

Welcome to the forum Trail Boss. The Stinger is a great car but may seem slow compared to your S1000RRs.

Awesome, yes the Stinger is an excellent choice the RS5 it is more than double the price and in my opinion not worth double than the Stinger. Even if you don't get a penny of discount the Stinger is an amazing value for your money plus maintenance is so cheap compared to an audi, for Audi you can buy maintenance packages at 4,000 USD for 3 years while the Stinger will cost a fraction of that, and oh if something goes wrong in a German car while out of warranty you will feel the pain.

Take a test drive, and make "Stopping hard" part of that (heh, that's what I saw for the longest time when I saw your OP title: too many brake discussions, I take it, hah. :P). And you won't want to wait till the end of the year. You have been warned. Welcome to the forum.

I’ll certainly fly anywhere... my hopes aren’t high for the Blue/brown leather option, but maybe they’re hiding somewhere!

Bikes have certainly spoiled me for outright performance! My daily driver is a 2012 Ram 2500, though, so I think I’ll have plenty to smile about.

Any reason for buying prior to year-end?
The soonest I’m buying is mid-November. My wife works in politics and wants to hang on to our liquid cash until we see what sort of dystopian apocalypse we’re in for.

Try Metro tri-state area (Jersey, Pa, NY, CT), when I was looking there were more Indigo models (your blue/brown) combo than any of the other trims. Don’t know if that’s still true or not. Was about 2 months ago. However, some dealers were treating the car like a “collector” because of the limited edition. However, I would argue the model will depreciate all the same, they usually didn’t have a response to that. If you are willing to travel you will find your deal. Searching the forum during my buying period I felt like the best deals came from NC area, Soutern eastern US from Texas to Florida. Good luck and welcome.

Ps. They are typically listed at $46,535 or $46,635 that’s how you know it’s the Deep Chroma Indigo, and will show as a GT trim

Only if you take a test drive between now and then. You won't want to wait after the test drive. That's what I was talking about. :P

I just picked up a 2020 Stinger with the Indigo package in NJ. I love it. I have seen a few others for sale but all were on east coast. Good luck!View attachment 49188
Welcome. That's a subtle color. I would have said it's black, the way the light is reflecting.

Nice, where are you located. Manalapan here. There were a good number of Indigos when I was shopping 2 months ago in NJ area. Almost went that way until I found a 2019 GT2 for the right price.

It does look black in the picture for sure. I have only had the car a few days and I think the color looked blue one day, purple the next, and then black the day after. You are right, all color changes are based on the sunlight that day.

I found this at the Kia in Cherry Hill. This was the last stinger they had in stock at that time. Congrats on the GT2! Those really look amazing.

Thank you for the "Welcome". Yes, I think the tint has made the car look a little darker overall. Love that it looks so many different colors based on sunlight that day.
