Hey all,

I registered here to discuss some rattles im hearing inside but I figured I'd take the time to introduce myself and show off my '19 GT2 in Panthera Metal.

Got it from a dealership in Houston (great dealership if you're in the area btw, Motor Trends of Houston.)

The car drives amazing. I came from a 2017 Camaro 2SS (7 Speed) and this feels every amount as fast as the Camaro.

I am, however, VERY sad to hear the like 9 rattles from different areas inside. I immediately took it to Kia (where it sits now) to try and find some of it. I also have issues with Bluetooth disconnecting Siri as soon as I try to initiate a hands free command with her.

Hope I can get it all sorted since I really do love it.

The Bluetooth Siri issue isn’t a Kia problem. Reboot your phone and it will work. I have to reboot the iPhone on occasion.

As far as the rattles... some can be fixed easy. Sunroof will not be easy.

Many threads on rattles/thunks on here.

Congrats and welcome.

Unfortunately it's not my phone. I have tried my neighbors phone (android) and it does the same thing. I did a hard reset (restore as new ) on my phone AND the infotainment and it still does it.

Fortunately, Kia said they have seen this and its likely a bad bluetooth module.

For comparison, I have a 2018 Ram and have no issues with this on either phone.

Gorgeous car. I hope you get your rattles sorted. Local dealer fixed my sunroof for me without me having to push and have been very happy since.

Welcome. NINE extraneous noises? You actually IDed each one? Or "like nine"? :P Hopefully you only have two or three sources, and hopefully none are from the sunroof!

I actually just got back from the dealership (picked up the car.) -- They eliminated all of it in two days. Pretty surprised actually.

The "oh-shit" handles were both somewhat loose and the screws were rattling. The passenger seat and passenger rear door has some loose screws and were tightened. Thankfully, I have had 0 issues with my sunroof.

I drove it hard (bumps etc) after picking it up and its mostly silent. There is some slight scratching (it sounds like velcro in the headliner is scratching) but it doesnt bother me.

Excellent! The headliner noise might get worse. There is a remedy shared here by several: push up around the sunroof with your palm or fist until you hear that "Velcro" sound, which apparently is the Velcro reseating itself under pressure.

Oh, and by the way, welcome to the forum.

Welcome!

Man, having that many loose screws shouldn't be happening at this juncture of production.

Welcome and congrats on the car, that color is one of my favorites. Happy to know they got the rattles fixed, now you can enjoy the drives in comfort.
