So this is odd. 2023 Stinger GT2 with 1472 miles on it and when you first start it and it does it's "systems check" it briefly says that service is required -45 days (and counting). No check engine light, no issues.
When I look at the service schedule there is nothing due as far as maintenance goes.

So what the heck is it wanting?

I guess I'll have to contact the dealership. I want to get the oil changed anyway. I know they claim 12,000 miles for the first oil change but no way I'm leaving the break-in initial oil in the engine for 12K miles. But aside from that I just don't get what it is thinking is required because neither in the infotainment center or in the app can I find any information about "what maintenance it is wanting".

When on a road trip I passed the set miles for next service, and after that the miles counted down into the negative like what yours shows. I think that by the time I got in it showed -1K something.

Can I reset this somewhere? It's not my daily driver. It's more of a weekend car. So while I do plan to get the oil changed before too long...way before the 12K miles in the owners manual and on the Kia App.... I still think its silly for it to be reminding me of service before the 1500 mile mark.

It was set wrong, or early for sure, if that is the factory app for reminding you to get service. Yours is a new interface. I've never seen those screens that you posted pictures of. in my 18 or 19 the screen for editing/choosing miles and or months is in the settings app, under 'service interval'. Also when within the miles to service which I recall is a thousand, each time I start the car a wrench icon appears and miles to or past service below it, with an accompanying 'ding' sound.

The other two pictures are from the "Kia Access" App on my phone. You get 1 year free to use the app and then I think you have to subscribe to it after. It's kinda nice where it tells you where your car is located on a map, tracks service intervals, you can remote start the car and set heat and AC temps remotely, etc. I don't know that I use it enough to continue the subscription but I'll see what the cost is when it comes time to renew. If it was my daily driver I'd probably get even more use out of it but considering this is a weekend driver with occasional road trip I don't know.

I did find in the vehicle settings in the infotainment center where I could dig down and find the service interval and reset it. It will not allow you to modify the interval but it will reset it to 365 days or 6000 miles. That works for me.

Amazing how I have been driving all sorts of cars and trucks since 1988 and I've never needed the vehicle to harass me about changing my oil or air filter. I just don't know how I made it through all these years without some corporation building in a system to nag me about what my maintenance schedule is.

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
At least we can turn off the noise / voice of the nagging nanny. that was the first thing I did when I got both cars, turn off the audio in navigation.

My 2023 is giving me the same message. I just hit the 2,000 km mark, which is about 1,200 miles.
Like you, I won't run the break in oil for very long either, but 1,200 miles is a bit silly.
I'll have to do like you and dig into the system to reset the time and mileage interval.
Thanks for the heads up.
