I tried to search for this but no luck. But the last couple of starts a 'Service In 30 Days' notice appears briefly w/ a picture of a wrench. Anyone else seen this or know what it is?

How many miles on your Stinger?

The service alert is a setting option. You can turn it off.

There is a setting in the computer for service (oil change) intervals. Depending on what this is set at, (and reset after service), it will begin to remind you of an upcoming service at that mileage. Default is (I think) 6,000 miles. I have mine set at 4,000. It is easily reset if you don' t like it reminding you, just don't skip oil changes if you do.

Awesome, thanks. I keep reminding myself I need to read the owners manual...maybe this weekend. Thanks!

The owner's manual was my bedside read for months.

Glad I'm not the only one...the wife laughs at me because everytime we get something new, I read the owners manual. She then will ask me how to use a feature on something. Then after telling her, she wonders how I know all this stuff :)

It's sort of interesting that I only have 500 miles on the stinger and it's giving me the warning. I sure hope I don't put 5500 miles (if set to 6k) on it in the next 30 days. hmmm

The two times the service alert has occurred has been at 1,000 miles (my maintenance intervals are 4K miles). Maybe your dealer wanted you back in at c. 1,000 miles, for the initial maintenance check; and the default assumption is 12K per year; that's 1,000 miles per month, and your alert is set at halfway? I'm going to go look at the maintenance alert settings ...

You can look in your settings and see if your service interval is set at one or more months. Mine is set at 4K miles and four months. And you can turn the whole thing off, or set it where you want it.

Is this your first car?

haaa bryan! Well Mulepic, you should know. Any issues call the dealer.

I’m guessing it’s his first time with a KIA. I’ve been used to messing with the settings since i’ve had European cars and they have options you can set there. KIA’s have had these features for years, I mess with them soon after I get a car to set it up to my liking.

The interval can be set in distance and time, and you can choose to change your oil whichever comes sooner.

You can reset the oil change interval for both mileage AND time. It will start to warn you when either one gets close.

How do you reset it? The only videos I can find only are for the GT Line and I have the LXS
