Hey everyone. I'm hoping to have my wheels powder coated sometime this month and between dismounting tires, getting them to the paint shop, remounting tires, ceramic coating them, and then putting them back on, the car would be sitting for at least two weeks. I'm not very comfortable leaving the car on stands for that long just sitting on the pinch welds, is there a better way to have it sit for that long, or, am I concerned for no actual good reason?

Any advice would be appreciated!

Some people store their car for the season on stands... I can't imagine a couple of weeks would hurt... and since it's a "one off" it doesn't really make sense to invest a lot of money on a two week solution

Agreed. Two weeks is nothing. If you’re really concerned you could buy a cheap used set of wheels and tires for temporary use.

Ive stored my cars on stands for a year and a half, on the pinch welds. Yes its perfectly fine, they are made for that. You can get the rubber jack stand protectors for peace of mind but it will not harm anything.

I buy used hockey pucks for $1ea at a refurbished sporting goods store. also use them as vibration isolators under my air compressor tanks.
