OK my second AX in F Street Trim. GT2 RWD Had bigger front Eibach swaybar. Car works better with bigger front bar for sure. Did get a little under steer but it will be easy to overcome with bigger front tire and some alignment tweaks .

Had fun with driver of Mustang 350 R. Obviously he had more power, more tire, better competition oriented suspension. I was able to get within about a second of his fastest times. He rode with me and was impressed with how well Stinger handles.

The car however has a real issue with slow shifts and power engagement in AX. I run in sport mode and both traction/stability disengaged. There is something going on where nannies even when all turned off are holding back throttle in certain circumstances. Guy with Mustang riding with me felt throttle lag too.

bigger front bar definitely allowed me to drive more aggressively and hold back end in check better. Car doesn't do well in tight 180 and 90 degree turns, but when things open up it hauls butt. Will be a very course specific car for sure

As someone who has been doing AX in a GT2 Awd I totally get the throttle lag. Also what sway bar did you go with exactly, I've been thinking about doing that due to the massive understeer the car likes to have in sharp turns.

You are likely going to want to do opposite of me. Big rear bar for AWD. I did big front bar. RWD car turns great stock so it could take more front bar. I could induce nice amounts of off throttle and trail brake over steer to get car pointed in right direction. harder to do when things slow down. I bought Eibach. Decent bar if you can find one.

About that throttle lag.

I modified a car that had a throttle"wheel" (sorry, I'm not going to know the right terms here) that the throttle cable rode on that was round. So the amount the pedal moved, the throttle moved. When I upgraded the throttle body, it had a curve that either increased or decreased in radius (sorry, don't recall which) to help handle the torque, I believe. It was a pain in this case because a) I was used to the more direct, linear input and b) the car wasn't the torque beast that the new throttle body was built for.

At any rate, I wonder if something along the lines of tip-in or this modified-radius cable run has been electronically designed with throttle input in this car. It seems that sometimes I can move the throttle a half an inch and get a nice thrust while other times the same amount of input doesn't give as much thrust.

I hope this made sense. It's something that's made this car more challenging to drive the way I like, especially if not in Sport mode.

Otherwise, PLEASE keep us updated with your AX experiences! I'd like to get mine out to one once I have wheels and tires!

7711905C-FC22-4072-9C47-F8CD23FD6BB2.webp Looking at AX results with Stinger. Was faster than bmw 335 i, Mazda Rx8, lots of Porsche’s. And about second off BMW M4, MUstang 350 GT , bunch more Porsche’s. Finished about mid pack out of 60 cars. 6 seconds off mod class car that set TTOD. Lots to figure out to make Stinger be competitive but it’s a hoot to drive. Probably my last AX in Stinger. .....Going back to my dedicated Turbo Porsche Cayman ax car in pic above.
