Seat comfort

I always thought the seat was pretty comfy in my Stinger - until yesterday. I did my first really long drive (450 kms or 6 hours) - well, really long in Irish terms anyway! My ass felt like it had been punched repeatedly by Mike Tyson by the time I got home. Anyone else find the seat to be a pain in the butt?

I drove just over 8 hours each way from Northern Virginia to Ohio (Sandusky Bay area) and back, and found the seats, well the driver's anyway to be very comfortable.

Depends how big your butt is I suppose. Can't say I have ever found them uncomfortable yet.

It’s weird seeing this post. I purchased in April, no comfort issues at all with numerous 8+ hour road trips. Then starting a few weeks ago I can’t be in the stinger more than exactly 25 minutes without it becoming painful, left leg and butt begins to cramp up every time i'm in my stinger now. But I was thinking of going to the doctor instead of the dealership

I have also noticed that the seat cover where your butt goes is kind of bulging a bit. You expect leather to stretch and sag, but this is sagging upwards in a small bulge!

I've done long drives of ten or more hours and only got normal "sitting too long" fatigue: no extra pains. So, I declare the seat I use comfortable.

The seats have a LOT of adjustment - try adjusting the lumbar, seat base angle, height, back tilt, etc. to find something more comfortable. On a long drive I also like to switch it up a bit, just so the body isn't in the same position for hours at a time.

I think the seat comfort, and especially the ability to tailor it to suit, is one of the strong points of the car.

Well, lookee, your no spring chicken anymore. hold any position for a while and it will tell you. it's not the car's fault.
