Mine went into my nav. There is a little door you open and the car goes there. What year is your car? The dealer put the card in mine when I bought it.

Also I just updated my map software recently, I was running the early 2019 software lol. Bought a sandisk 32gb class 10, Loaded the software onto new SD card, put it in the car (like post above points out) and drove around for 20 minutes. All good now!

Are there really any improvements? I never use their NAV and choose to run Waze. Do the updates change the user interface at all? My car is a MY 18 built in Nov and purchased new by me in Oct 18. I doubt the dealership updated before selling To me and I’ve never updated it either

I did it in hopes my Apple car play would stop disconnecting randomly...it seems to be working better. Might as well, SD cards are only $15.

Downloaded update onto Sd card went out to car. Went through update procedure and when I got update it says to install the card. Won’t recognize the card. It’s a brand new Sandisk series 10 extreme plus 90mb/s? What am I doing wrong

did you drag and drop the update or use the installer from the site?

Simply copied from hard drive to SD car

mine didnt work that method. i had to use the installed and when it asked where i wanted to put the file i selected the sd card

I had to do the same it would not work as a copy from the hd.

Strange...I just used the Kia installer, loaded it onto the external device (SD card) and it was done after 10-15mins. Then inserted it into car, went through all the steps and once it disables all radio functions I drove around making a ruckus with my exhaust.

Thanks I’ll try again.!the installer keeps saying my brand new card doesn’t have enough space. I’ll have to play around with it

Just tried again. Says card has 29.7 mb and when I hit start it says not enough space on disk and the file is only 26mb. I even reformatted the card and used the navigation updater, So annoying.
Navigation updater will not let me choose the card as my location says has to be a hdd. Why do I feel so stupid?

So I uninstalled the installer and tried again same result. Closed out opened up again and now it let me download to card. Very very buggy program.
