Does anyone know if KIA will let you purchase the rims separately?
Thinking of swapping stock

I'm watching this thread: my guess is yes Kia will let you order the wheels. But Kia wheels are PRICEY. Back in early 2018, I asked about getting a single wheel (right after my first of many encounters with curbs), and one OEM GT wheel was $630!? o_O

Agreed…even if you can order these they will be as expensive as lighter & wider forged aftermarket wheels. Maybe if they were like 9” wide all around or 9/9.5 staggered it would be worth it but they are the same size as other GT wheels at 8/8.5. Juice isn’t worth the squeeze imo.

ok, i think i want some gloss black wheels. i love my stock wheels, but think black looks way better on ceramic silver. thing is, i want to stick to exactly what is made for the car... so would that be asking the dealership or somewhere else to get the scorpion black wheels, because they would fit exactly like my stock ones, right? i've had bad luck changing wheels in the past, so i want something that actually goes with the tire setup and i dont want to have to change anything else because of getting new wheels.

If you like the wheels you have now and want to stay stock, you can always get your current wheels powder coated.

They are the same, it's just the lighting in the pics. You can take your wheels down to Wheel Werks on 3900 South just east of State Street and they powder coat for $150/wheel. I think that the OEM '22 wheels look very nice gloss black in those pics. I did my GT wheels gloss black in February 2019, they are my winter setup.

that looks really good! so the air scoop doesnt have to match to look good.
how long does it take? did you have to have separate wheels so you could still drive your car, or did you wait there?

I swapped to my brand new TSW "Watkins" wheels (that they fitted and ordered for me, and put on, of course), for three days, and on the third day went back and had my brand new wheels put in the hatch and the freshly coated OEM wheels put on for another c. month till I was pretty sure that winter was pretty much over and done. :)

All the dark chrome trim from grilles to the strips alongside the hatch window look good with the gloss black accents all over the car: so gloss black wheels is just more of the same contrast. I've seen pics on here of spray/wrap gloss black on all the dark chrome and it looks good as well, in my opinion (in fact, one of the solutions to the dark chrome window strips going to crap is to gloss black them with either method: but I would opt for spraying them if I decide to get rid of the dark chrome "spotting" issue, should it get bad enough to need a solution),

I've got TSW Bathurst wheels that are similar to the spoked Scorpion wheels. I love that mine are in Gunmetal and not matte or glossy black because they match very well the smoked chrome of the GT2. They do offer black versions as well.

I can't tell in pics but, are the scorpion wheels pretty concave like the older stinger 19's?
