I haven’t done any launch control yet, but under spirited takeoff from a light or stop sign...the rear end is right on the verge of traction control kicking in. I can feel it starting to step out to where I have to feather the gas to keep it from continuing to step sideways. I’m wondering if it’s because I have Michelin pilot sport 4 and not the 4S? Pressures are all good.

P4 vs P4S isn't the issue.

You're putting ~300hp through those rears. You need to be gentle with the throttle - you're not a taxi driver, don't treat it as a binary switch.

I saw a Charger "step out" on my way home just a little while ago. Smoked the rear tires too. And s/he was just coming out of a parking lot, crossing the median to get into traffic with alacrity, not showing off (I presume, from subsequent sedate, "civilized" driving). RWD performance cars do that. :D

I usually short shift but figured I’d see what life above 4500rpm is like lol
