Anyone wrapped their own roof or gone through the process with someone else? I've wrapped before but just wondering, do the drip rails come off just like most vehicles? Clips in front and back and sliders throughout? Wanting to wrap the roof this weekend and just trying to grab some info. Thanks guys.

There's a few ppl with wrapped roofs but I don't think anybody did it themselves...

You're in luck, I just did it myself the other day, my 1st wrap job ever. Did a decent job, but I cut the edges a bit too short for the small section on the hatch. The gap between the roof cap, the small litfgate panel and the glass is fairly large and theres no weatherstripping, so you can still see a bit of red in spots. It should be easy enough to add a small strip down there so it's not visible. Make sure you trim wide than normal.

The rails just pop straight off easily, open the hatch and with a taped flathead just lift the back end of the rail straight up. Then just pull the rail straight up as you move forward, slightly twisting it on its long axis upward and toward the center of the roof (so driver side, rotates clockwise, counter for passenger side). No sliding clips, just stright pull up. Super easy , will take you 10 seconds. I attached a photo. of the underside of the rail and roof.

The much bigger pain in the ass is the shark fin antenna. You need to pop 2 fasteners at the rear of the headliner, as well as the 2 side sail panels. There's a hidden fastener in the dead center of the headliner, it pops straight down. Even using a panel removal tool, I broke both of the fasteners, and the hidden one looked pretty stripped. Then you have to pull down hard on the headliner, it causes creases where it kinda folds down, but they fade away when you're done. I was only able to get the headliner down a few inches and get one hand in there. There is an antenna connector with a side release tab, of course the tab is on the wrong side to reach, so i popped the connector off the roof clip, flipped it and disconneced it. there is also a little grounding blade/ socket connector right on the connecting bolt of the antenna itself, you need to disconnect that. Then you need to get a 19" socket in there and unbolt the antenna. Once you budge it, it's just finger tight, so at least you don't have to ratchet 2 degrees at a time.

Once the antenna is off, the wrap should go pretty easily, just remember to trim the back edges longer than you'd think you need. I attached the photos I took when I remembered to, the one blurry one is of the attached antenna from the underside, you can never really get the headliner down enough to get a clear look at it, so i stuck my phone in there to get an idea of it.

Now I just need to either find black rails or plasti dip them to match, I dont think i can wrap them since they have some rubber strips on the edges.

Good job. How long did it all take?

Awesome! This is what I needed! The small piece between the roof and window, what did you do about the edges that dont wrap around anything? Edge solar? This is my biggest concern. Thanks again for the photos!

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
The job took about 3 hrs not counting the trip to autozone to get a panel popper tool and new fastener spikes.

For the edges on the piece between the roof and the glass I simply cut it reeeeeeeeeaaally carefully to try to get it straight, and stuck it down with some heat.
