I was toying with the idea of a red accent around the perimeter of the stock rims to compliment the brake caliper and the red interior. I know somebody who is an expert pinstriper, and I was thinking about a 1/8" red stripe just inside the wheel lip. Then someone came along and brought up the idea of rimskins in another post on the forum. I looked them up and am not sure what to think. I don't want it to look cheap or "jump out at you". my brother who is a commercial pilot (lots of time on his hands), and something of a technophile told me he could photoshop the correct effect in so I could look at it. This is what he came up with:

I told him he should get a job with Lucasfilm or Pixar! (Although I have to admit, I kinda like the redline tire effect)
Has anybody who actually knows how to use photoshop done a better job of this yet?
Anyway, anybody have any experience with rimskins, any opinion as to whether they are cheap or gimmicky looking? Do they actually protect the rims as advertised? And finally, thoughts on red perimeter striping?
Thanks!
