If I wanted to provide some more protection to the aftermarket 20 inch rims I have what tire size will I need to adjust too? Currently running a square set up 245/35/20 , 20 x 9 , and 35 offset. Would I just need to increase the sidewall (middle number) and maybe go 255s ? Any input is much appreciated. I’m seeing a lot of ppl recently hitting potholes and damaging their rims.

Also any advantage to adding stainless steel brake lines to the car with aftermarket pads?

If you’re that concerned, I would step down to 19’s so you get more sidewall. With that said, sometimes crap happens. I hit a hidden pothole on the highway and blew a tire with a 45 series sidewall. Sometimes you just can’t win.

As for brake lines, unless you’re really leaning on the brakes and getting them smoking hot, you probably won’t notice a huge difference with stainless lines.

Yeah I’m really considering it now to step down in rim tire size. And with the stainless steal brake lines and aftermarket pads you still wouldn’t notice a good difference ?

I noticed quite a bit of difference with the braided lines and ceramic pads, pedal actually feels good now with better linear travel. I also flushed my fluid so that may have added some effect to it but I'll take it.

Go 19's, 20's make the brakes look small. :p

Stoptech lines, Bosch ceramic pads and Bosch ESI 6 fluid.

Yeah I need to get a pair of 19 inch rims or go 255s square. And how are you liking those Bosch ceramic pads ? Noisy? Dusty ? Good stopping power ?
