So I noticed this recently that when I get into it (getting on the highway or what have you) and get into the higher rpms when I let off the rpms stay high and very slowly come down. Is this a normal thing and I’m just now noticing? The car doesn’t act weird or run strange either while it’s happening or before/after so it didn’t worry me but I’m just curious to if it’s supposed to happen or not.

If you are in Sport mode this is normal.....

ok, I believe I was when I noticed it. It seemed like something normal based on how it felt (no jerking, unusual shifting) so it didn’t worry me to much but I figured I’d ask. It’s my first turbocharged vehicle as well so I didn’t know if that played into it also.

If it's not happening in the other settings it's just the mapping of sport mode. When that happens and I'm not on the throttle I'll just flip the paddle shifter up a gear or two.

Yeah, sounds like sport mode keeping the RPM's up, waiting to see if you get into it some more before up-shifting. That is totally normal.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Always good to get the RPMs up there every once in a while. It’s actually good for the engine, particularly the intake.
