Having already completed more than 2,000 miles of a 4,000+ mile trip I find myself wishing the Stinger had an adjustable thigh support (I'm 6'4"). Looking on eBay I saw some old BMW 745 seats. Think I could retrofit them relatively easily?

GT2s have adjustable thigh support, the colors match your car's interior, probably have the same plug for your heated seats, will probably bolt onto the existing seat's rails, and they are of similar dimensions to the ones currently in your car.

They would probably be a better option.

They also come on the GT-Line (at least in the EU). So I'm pretty sure they will fit any model of Stinger.

Didn't know that. Maybe I'll see if I can find one from a wrecked GT2?

As someone who has carbon seats and working on putting s-class seats into stinger, I can say, it can be done with minor fab skills. Installing gt2 seats is a direct swap, plus you'll get nappa leather. Not sure if all the power functions would work though.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I have the GT2 and am also 6'-4". I find the thigh support useless. The seat base does not rock back far enough and my legs do not touch where the support is even when extended. Still a rather comfortable seat, but I do wish the seat bottom angled back more (or front up).

Sit in one first to see if it does what you need...

Any photos of the finished project or in process?

It's in a process. Trying to make it under 30lbs, while being s-class comfortable.

Personally, I could care less about the weight. How easy was the install/wiring?
I do care about weight, so it will be manual

Interesting project. Does any S-class come with manual seats?

I've done seat swaps. Usually the other way around - removing manual seat for one with motorized adjustments, which is typically a lot heavier. Same brand, same model, made the swap very easy. Can't imagine doing a dissimilar brand and model, especially these days with side airbag, ventilated seats and such.

No, they don't. But all the mechanisms are there. All I have to do, is to replace the motors and wiring with manual knobs. And looks like I will have to get rid of some adjustments anyway, if i wanna keep it under 30 lbs. Kind of getting tired from sport carbon seats. Also I can swap airbags from stock seat, since merc seat has side airbag as well. But won't do it most likely.
