Anytime I wash my car no matter how much I take a towel and try to absorb any residual water where the side mirror stalk meets the door a significant amount of water remains. This becomes an issue as I then drive and end up with these water streaks running down my car doors. Black car, lots of pollen and dust in the area so just wiping the water spots clean leaves an obvious difference.

Surely others deal with this, is there something you have found works to resolve/mitigate the issue? I was thinking of using some sort of glue to fill in whatever space exists allowing the water to drip out.

Either blow the water out(I use an Ego leaf blower to dry my car), or drill a teensy tiny hole at the very bottom where the water collects, to let it run out. Glue is probably not a good option.

You guys. Just use less water, especially around the mirrors. I seldom ever have water drops emerge from anywhere after I wash my car, and I wash it weekly. When I do spray it down first, I'm prepared to wield a drying towel in those critical areas afterward; and even a day later, ONR sprayed on the spots I miss and a quick wipe dry solves that little problem.

Just use a leaf blower or a sidekick blaster(not with the price) but helps to get the creases of trims and side mirror streaks.

I drive around the block before I dry

I have a fairly powerful leaf blower (husky 360bt Husqvarna 360BT Leaf Blower), but am concerned i'd be blowing dirt/debris at the car. I suppose it doesn't have to be on full blast when doing so. This thing will blow leaves across the street on full blast. How close to the car are you getting with it?

I have the Ryobi brushless blower. Full blast and very close. I also detail cars btw.

Leaf blower also. no issues whatsoever. I've done it on multiple cars. Keeps the swirl marks away. if the car has a good wax or ceramic coat, the water just slides right off. I get the blower nozzle within a few inches of the car all the time.

I'd not use a gas leaf blower, FYI.

I have used a gas blower for 20 years. It won't hurt anything.

Lol... There you have it, 2 very differing opinions :)

I may give it a shot next time, at least for the sides of the car.

This is what I use: Bigboi BlowR MINI Car Dryer
Expensive? Yes!! High quality, multiple speeds/ heated air etc. Still takes some time to get the water out of the mirrors.

And the passenger side is always worse. So you don’t notice the horrendous water marks until days later. Utter embarrassment!

F it. Just use canned air lol

as soon as your done washing it, drive 100 mph for 5 minutes. that will get all the water out and only take 5 minutes to dry.
