The attractive family sedan just debuted at the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show. Engineers improved this four-door’s performance, refinement, and efficiency, while designers burnished its exterior styling and made it even more premium inside.

Mazda is aiming for a higher class of vehicle than normal with this car, not your typical Honda Accord or Toyota Camry. Upping the premiumness (our word, not theirs) factor, this family sedan is now available in a new Signature trim, which features things like Nappa leather, wood trim, and UltraSuede NU accents.

Signature trim, huh? Sounds interesting. DAMN! That's a nice interior! It's nice to see Mazda kicking it up a notch... "In this latest round of thoughtful improvements, engineers have revisited every aspect of Mazda6's chassis, with its suspension offering a smoother, more linear ride quality and greater NVH refinement similar to the ultra-quiet CX-9."

That's a nice looking car both inside and out. I had previously ruled out the Mazda 6 since it only came with a naturally aspirated 2.5 liter, however, I may have to check out this version depending on when its released.

They should put that engine in the Mazda3 Hatch. If they gave it all the same upgrades as this new Mazda6, it might compete with a GTI.

Yeah recent Mazdas are neat .. the CX-9 interior isn't exactly ugly, either. Funny to see what looks like a leather dashboard etc on a consumer line of car :)

We had a 6 for 3 years up until last year, the car handled well, the exterior was drop dead gorgeous, the only drawback was the interior didn't match the exterior, from what I can see they've rectified the problem.

Besides being too weak my only other problem with the Mazda 6 is I felt the ride was too firm. I'm looking for something sporty, good looking, powerful and with a ride that more comfortable than your average mid size sedan. I've only been on short rides with the Mazda 6 so what's n/v/h like inside?

Pretty much the reason we leased it was the ride/handling, which we felt was superior to the Camry/Altima/Accord crowd. I feel for those who enjoy a car actually going where they're pointing it at, it's a shame they dismiss Mazda and continue to purchase those other cars with Captain Smith at the wheel. :)

So the ride is more firm. I hope the Stinger has a softer ride and still goes where I point it. I'd prefer a car with as little noise inside the vehicle as possible so I imagine the Stinger has that over the Mazda 6 as well. But that's why I'm here and not on a Mazda forum. I think I'm in the right place but only time will tell.

When I last shopped Mazda (in '07), they offered the 6 in sedan, sportback, and wagon. My wife voted no (for size reasons), so that was one less sale of a mid-sized 5-door, and now they're gone. :(
