Hello, fellow Stinger owners! I have a 2022 GT1, I was over 100mph for over 2 minutes while accidentally leaving it in ECO mode and suddenly the engine shut off. Electrical stayed on and after switching to Sport mode it started right back up. After that incident the Auto Stop/Start has stopped working minus a few weird incidents where it functioned properly again for one stop. I brought it the KIA dealer in Vacaville for regular service and asked them if they could figure the Auto Stop/Start system out, they said I would have to bring it back becasue it takes 4-5 hours to reset the system and if that doesn't fix it then they will investigate further. Is it possible for me to reset the Auto Stop/Start system myself to see if that fixes the problem and avoid the dealer? Would I just disconnect the battery for 4-5 hours?
Also, I recently noticed that the driver-side backseat passenger window stopped working?
Speed safely!!!

your extra legal speed had nothing to do with idle stop go not working when it decides not to. this is an old topic. most of us just turn it off when we start up. 'fickle' is a good word for this feature. read your manual and you'll find a long list of things that can stop idle stop go from functioning.

Yes, I read the manual and I had more questions than I started with, lol! I also read the past thread here about it, and it was confirming what I was thinking…it’s a fickle feature I understand there wouldn’t be any mechanical connection, but maybe a strange electrical connection/fried a chip or circuit. I was just probing again to see if anything new had developed. Agree that the feature can be more irritating than helpful, and I do usually turn it off but I was kinda beginning to like it when waiting in drive thru and if course it would be nice to know that all the features work in case I ever want/need to sell it

I agree your shutoff during your high speed run had nothing to do with your drivemode, not sure what would cause that.

The stop/start feature is dependant on so many different factors I wouldnt even worry about it. Half the time you leave it on the ecu doesnt give the car the okay to shutoff anyway. I just always turn it off at startup myself and occasionally when I forget to shut it off it will turn the car off at a light and I just turn the feature off because I hate it lol
