REQUESTING EVERYONE'S HELP REGARDING WHEELS FITTMENT (OFFSET)

I've just received my FC04 wheels for my winter setup. They are 18x8.0, 5x114.3mm, 72.6mm bore, +40 offset...I ordered +30 offset 'cause I know they fit perfectly. Did not ordered +40 offset... They sent me the wrong ones and I'm pissed, since I've been wating 7 weeks for them to arrive...

I have a 2018 Stinger GT V6 3.3TT with brembo brakes. Winter tires are 225/45/18 squared. What will the +10 offset difference do to the look, steering feel, fittment and overall satisfaction of the car?? First of all : will it fit? Look silly?

I checked with them maybe 5 or 6 times since I ordered the wheels. My confirmation e-mail, which they sent me last friday, CLEARLY states that the wheels ordered are +30 offset...I'm so pissed right now!!

Well, look is relative. Obviously the 30-mm offset would provide a "fuller" look from the exterior and if the spoke contour/profile is the same between the two, there is more lateral clearance with the 30-mm which could be a moot point.

If it's anything, the 40-mm offset wheels create a shorter leverage on the suspension providing a slightly higher spring effective rate which, in a way, bumps the car static ride height. The slightly narrower tracks are also helpful in creating better chance of avoiding impacts from debris on a snow-laden road.

It's a blessing in disguise (granted the wheels clear the calipers) in my view.

FC04 wheels have been installed multiple times over Stingers with the brembo brakes. They have a garanteed fitting, Fast Wheels are saying.

I doubt they'll be much you can notice in the way of a handling change, but visually the wheels will be 10 mm inboard from what you would have seen with the + 30. Both will fit.

Lots of people run the + 40, but if you want the + 30 see if they can do a quick exchange for you. They should certainly be covering the shipping cost both ways if it was their error.

Problem is, these wheels are back order and have been for more than 2 months now...I waited 7 weeks for mine, the shipping date got pushed back 3 times. If I decide I want the +30, I probably won't have the correct wheels until mid-to-late february! I'm currently running on temporarly borrowed Kia 18" rims from the dealership and they want 'em back ASAP...Kind of a shi*** situation, if you know what I mean.

I agree! If they clear the calipers put them on.

The +40 will help keep crap off your car in winter anyway.

Better now? If your question is how bad our winter's are, up here...they're incredibly bad! As in, very VERY bad. 4 meters of snow every winter, extreme cold (under -10F for 30 to 40 days every winter), we often have freezing rain during the day and it drops to -20F during the night.

Well, enough said. What did you mean by "if it's only for short term use, it's ok??".

So from your added location, and what my ignorance assumes of your typical "winter" driving conditions, I'd say what others suggested - narrower is actually better - is the way to go. Good snow tires, and less trash thrown up on the side of the vehicle. Sounds good to me!

I just bought some 19×9.5 kmc district wheels with +42 offset hoping they will fit. The rears will be fine but the fronts I may need to use a small spacer. We will see.
