Does anyone know if pulling the front bumper with adaptive cruise requires recalibration? I'm getting conflicting info from kia dealerships and body shops. Just want to know what I'm getting into before I take the next step.

First I've heard of this. Taking a guess I would say no, just unhook the battery.

Much appreciated. Couldn't find any info online indicating it was necessary, but just wanted to double check. Kia was quoting upwards of $500 for the calibration.

No. It absolutely does not. Your dealership is full of $h!tfukury.

tell those ass clowns to piss off. They are trying to steal from your baby’s college fund.

I’ve taken my front end off a half dozen times.

so have countless others here.

Appreciate the response! It seemed a little fishy! Glad it's not the case!

This is the correct answer. However, it is possible to mess it up if you bumped into it or were rough with it. That is fairly easy to avoid though.

I’ve taken off the bumper 5-6 times. Never needed to have the adaptive cruise recalibrated.

It only requires a calibration if the radar was unplugged or moved in any way. Just a removal of the bumper does not require a calibration. Worked in the collision industry for 20 years now.
