Remote start?

So the only thing I will miss from my last car (VF Calais V) is the remote start.
Is there any after market option for this in Oz?

Don't know if you can get it in Australia, but I just had a Compustar 7200 Remote Start with a Drone Mobile DR5400 cell app control installed in my GT2. It allows the OEM remote or cell phone to remote start/stop, lock/unlock. I also opt'd to get open/close for the sunroof via my cell. Working well for the 2 weeks I have had it.

The one I got was the Firstech Compustar CM7200 with remote kit and blade. I bought it at a shop along with the Drone Mobile kit plus installation for $350.

The suggested retail on the CM-7200 kit is $250US, so I doubt the one you referenced is the same. It took the installer who has been doing them for 15 years about 6 hours and I know he had to run a line from the tach to make the remote start work consistently.

I read last week someone on facebook bought one. Try Kia gt facebook group and ask in there perhaps.

And I spent 500 on kia's remote start. This one is miles better.

UVO app. Remote start from UVO is not available in USA or Australia. It's available in Canada.

It's software so it might get better in future with updates.

My GT2 came with remote. Works with the original fob. A little odd that it insists on shutting off when you unlock the car to get in, but not a big deal to me.
