My 2019 kia Stinger premium will sometimes just not start. The dash will light up but nothing else will happen. All I can do is keep turning the battery on and off until my brakes flood. Only after my brakes flood will I be able to smash down the brake and start the car. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be?

Until your brakes flood?

Is your brake pedal so stiff that it's difficult to press it down far enough to start, similar as to this thread? Brake pedal fully pumped after turning off car
No, my brakes are normal when I first time and start the car but after a few attempts they get hard. Once the get hard, the car would start.

Early in my wife's experience with our '19 premium, there was one occasion when I went to go wash the car after she parked it, and it wouldn't start. did the same thing, flashing dash lights, nothing else. I don't recall noticing any brake pedal involvement. what I did was disconnect the battery which resets everything. over an hour later, I went out and it started right up.

Turning on the battery? - Assume you mean attempting to start?
Brakes flood? That's a new one. Probably means you have consumed all the vacuum assisted boost - and is unrelated to your starter not working correctly.

I had my starter replaced due to intermittent no start. Intermittently, my starter would not start. Usually would start after several attempts. Hope you have warranty, as it is very laborious. something like 7 hrs labour time + an alignment since the front subframe is moved.

Luckily I do have full warranty. How long were you without your car for the repairs?
