R & T - 2018 Performance Car of The Year

Oh damn, I thought this was another one of those "guess then 3 days later they reveal the winner" type deals. Sorry.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
All those 10 and 11 second cars - and then a Civic. Really? The Lexus isn't fast but it sure sounds nice. I just saw one last night for the first time (on the road). Really nice. Slow, but nice...

o_O I don't think it's fair to call the Lexus or even the Honda "slow." They aren't supercar or track fast, but they'll both do the required deeds on standard roadways in standard traffic conditions.

Okay, maybe not slow - but compared to the rest of the cars on the list. :D

That Civic currently holds the record for front wheel drive around the Nurburgring. The actual lap is on YouTube and it's captivating viewing - a serious performance car. Shame about the looks (particularly the HUGE fake Lamborghini bumper air vents front & rear). I was considering one before I heard about the Stinger...

Yes, there are some very plain/average cars that make seriously great track cars in their performance-oriented varient. Civic, Focus, etc. I'd probably enjoy that kind of racing but all I've ever done (or really cared about) has been 1/4 mile racing. That's my thing. I don't have any "twisties" where I live so that kind of thing never matted to me. It does look like a lot of fun though...
