Hey guys, Ive been looking at tuners for my Stinger GT.

I've noticed here, and other sites, such as eBay... that the JB4 tuner seems to have the highest number of people selling their used tuners.

Why does it appear the majority of these tuners being parted-out seem to be the JB4?

Are people finding a better tuner? Cheaper price? Or having performance issues?

Granted, they sell a lot of tuners and offer a nice product, but I wonder why I never, or rarely see Lap3, Tork and other brands being resold at such a high rate.

It makes me leery, to purchase the JB4 when I see used one's listed in the classifieds here practically every 1-2 weeks.

Also finding it hard to believe all these people are returning a leased car, requiring the tuner to be removed... and some are reselling after only having it installed for less than a year after spending $700+ for a new tuner only to take a $100+ loss by reselling it.

Appreciate any thoughts you have...

JB4 sold way more tuners than the others you mentioned. Tork's tune can't be resold.

There's many reasons why. The seller sold the car, wanted to go back to stock, got an ECU tune, etc.

And not everyone paid the same price. I got my JB4 brand new for $220 in March of 2018 and sold it more than twice that in October of 2019.

For the Stinger you wont find a better tune for cheaper than a JB4.

Because when someone parts out their car, so many people have the JB4 that it looks like the JB4 is the issue. I have had my JB4 for maybe 10 months. It has had great reliability and there is great support for it.

My JB4 has been great but I would also sell it when I trade the car. They are easy to remove and in demand. Even if you paid $700 for a years use it’s $13:50 a week for awesome power. Sell it on eBay for $600 and it only cost you $2:00 a week. That’s the cheapest bang for your buck you’ll find anywhere

Appreciate the replies... thanks to all...
