Hey everyone. I was curious to see how many of you are replacing anything on your 2018-2021 stingers (made before the MY22 refresh) with parts that come on the mid-cycle refresh 2022 Kia Stinger. For example, the new LED tail lights, ambient lighting, steering wheel, exhaust (full variable exhaust system, the new bigger tips, or just certain parts of it), lighting changes, seat changes, infotainment, different materials, etc. Would love to see pictures of what you all are doing and how it has worked out for you. Thanks in advance!

Howdy and welcome. The refresh rear lights are, according to the skuttlebutt, going to be adaptable to the earlier model years. Steering wheels are the same fit. Ambient lighting upgrade is probably possible (I'd expect it). Infotainment software gets included in regular updates; as for the wider screen, I haven't seen anyone, yet, put one on an earlier model year. Materials are the same except for special (e.g. GTS) editions. Seats come with goodies according to trim: to change to more goodies that were not original with a lower than GT2 trim will not be easy or cheap. The bigger exhaust tips on the refresh require the new OE surround and diffuser. They will not fit the earlier pieces. (I'm sure someone, sooner or later, will cut the OE diffuser/surround out to take the bigger exhaust tips, and it will look like hell.)

I'm going to be doing the steering wheel lower trim and the instrument cluster surround as soon as I can get part #s. the screen & new nav unit, I want...but that's going to have to wait until they start showing up on fleabay off wrecked cars.

The only thing I plan on changing with OE parts are the front door cards with the suede version and perhaps the red seat belts.

The exhaust sucks and would be way more expensive then it’s better aftermarket alternatives.

Tail lights aren’t my taste and are too expensive for what you get.

The 10.25” display may be upgradable but will be very expensive

You can buy an aftermarket ambient lighting strip for $30. I’m waiting for mine to arrive.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
