Putting a HUD unit on my GT1?

I was looking through the list of items that the GT2 stinger had and my GT1 did not, and ran across the heads up display projector.

I currently own a 2020 GT1 and was looking through eBay and noticed quite a few 2018 HUD units for sale around $450-$500. My local dealership wanted $1400 and was giving me a hard time because the part doesn't fit my vin - which I tried to explain to them and it seemed like they weren't too thrilled about it.

I have no issues cutting into my dash if theres an open plug sitting beneath it. I just want to know if anyone by chance knows if this whole project would be possible, or if it's even worth it.

Nothing is impossible (a Stinger 3.3L into a DeLorean, complete with chassis modification, being one example). But worth it? No. Cutting into your GT1 dash is insane; just get a GT2 dash with the Hud "cutout" already there.

You will need a GT2 windscreen too and those are not cheap
