Today I was blessed to be able to trade in the 16 q50 redsport awd for a 19 Kia stinger gt awd. One previous owner. Only 28,000 miles on it. Final price out the door after the trade in was about $35,845. Only got $18k for the q50 rs but I just wanted to get rid of it. So many problems I had with it with only 40k miles of driving. So glad I was able to get a color other than black as well. I think this dark gray is sick and menacing. Can’t wait to debadge it now, start the mods and really make it my own. My goals for the car stated in a previous post was 420-450 whp but after driving from the dealership today home with it sheesh it felt smoother and the torque surprised me. Im cool with a solid reliable 380-400 whp which I think is doabla without a tune maybe ?I’m test drove a stinger gt before in the past cross shopping the q50 but it was a while back. Coming home a Toyota supra pulled up on me quick from behind on the highway lol. Already in sport mode and already a natural spirited driver I waited three seconds and mashed the gas and I was gone lol. So happen a murdered out 5.0 mustang hops behind the Supra that I passed. Not sure if they had any mods done to there cars but i left both together about a half a mile lol weaving through traffic but pretty much open road. A few minutes later the supra and mustang chill out after that lol.

I only have two questions to start my journey off as I’m excited to start this mod process on my stinger. 1) Does the stillen Catback exhaust actually provide the gains it claims for the exhaust performance wise ? I saw a yt vid claiming gains hp and tq and 2) can you swap the new stinger front badges 2022 on the 2019 front of the vehicle. The 2022 oem logo ones?

Big fan of the vehicle and can’t wait to learn from the community and showcase my build to you guys. I’m fairly new to modding but the car itch has grown since the q50. Peace and blessings to all.96538FC5-C558-4BAE-ACD5-8447E92A7515.jpeg

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. I’m glad you found us! Nice upgrade from the Infiniti Q50. Yes, you can swap the older emblems for the new version. Check out the forum store and vendor section for all sorts of upgrades and ideas.

Personally I think the Stillen numbers are a joke, nobody is getting those numbers off a catback.

My suggestion is you get a JB4 with the reccomended spark plugs and run Map 1, if thats not enough for you jump it up to Map 2 and that should give you what you're looking for. You will spend a fortune on bolt on parts to get even close to the numbers you will see out of the JB4. If you wanted to pair it with an intake and catback thats not a bad idea. The JB4 will net you insane torque numbers so I hope you like torque.

I see a lot of the stinger guys and girls love the jb4. I had some complications with it on my q50 rs and the trans ended up locking out with the JB4 off. As one of your fellow members told me in a previous post I can’t let that affect my experience with the stinger which is a whole new vehicle like he expressed. I know there are other options for tunes as well but really not familiar with them at all. If I did tune it would be a conservative one as the Butt Dyno is alright in my opinion. Out of all the tunes which one is the most consistent and reliable ?

Debadge order done lol

Get the JB4. If you, have access to 93 octane, run map 2 and you're set. Tons of people have it. It's the easiest and most affordable way to get to 400 WHP. Basically just adding 5Lbs of boost. Easy peasy. Stop fighting it! LOL. It will be fine. If you don't like it, sell it. Upgrade the spark plugs of course, per the instructions.

Does it matter what spark plugs ? I know Denzo and hks are the Most popular. Any pros and cons to each. Glad the JB4 is reliable on the stinger.

I have the Denso's that Burger Tuning sells with their kit. they've been great for me. Most will say the HKS are better though. I guess they are more expensive, never really looked into them.

Well, depends. HKS are bit more pricier.

Both are good but for whatever reason you wanted more of an aggressive tune, hks is preferred.

Densos are fine for a piggyback like jb4.

Hks has a abit longer life, say 5-10k miles more I think.

I’m willing to pay the extra price for the peace of mind. So hks longer longevity. Thanks.

I’m still curious with the other options for plug and play tunes. I’ll most likely end up going with the Jb4 but More so would like to just find out about other options and what’s the biggest difference let’s say between the lap3, racechip and jb4. I think I saw a vid on YouTube of a guy saying one of these you have to go underneath the car to install it and remove it.
