Prototype Review

That's exactly what I've always thought. I figured in the real world you would not get the same kind of performance numbers with all wheel drive as professional drivers get for the brand and magazines. I think people are more likely to be able to reproduce what a rear wheel drive car can do because you can only do so much on that launch.

I think you can replicate the magazine numbers in your AWD vehicle if are willing to beat the hell out of your car with six grand launches. No one with any sense would do that to their daily driver. Wheel spin is not a big a factor with AWD so you can just beat on it.

RWD can be a different animal. You have modulate the throttle "just right" at launch to mitigate wheel slip while also not bogging down the engine when you let the clutch out.

I do pretty good power braking with rear wheel drive. Once you know your car and what RPM to take off at you get the hang of it.
