I took delivery of my beautiful snow white pearl Stinger GT2 on Feb 2. While I was inspecting the car at the dealership I noticed body coloured decals at the bottom of the rear passenger doors on both sides. It looked like they forgot to remove these during the unpackaging process. When I asked them about it they said "that stays on to protect the paint from stone chips"?? Anybody else have these? I don't like how it looks and have the urge to peel them off but I don't wanna do that if it is in fact there to protect the paint.

I've attached a pic, not sure if you can see them. Let me know if any of you have this on your cars.

Thanks

That's a standard place to apply protective film. Many manufacturers do it.

High rate of stones and debris in that area, this prevents paint chipping.

Mine has them too!

Every Stinger I've seen has them, and so does my Sorento..

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
the material is very similar to the 3m film used to protect the fronts and hoods of cars , its actually clear , pretty standard for newer cars , factory applied . When you wash your car you'll notice dirt will build up on the edge of those guards , I use a soft tooth brush to clean around the edges .

Now don’t use that toothbrush for cleaning your false teeth afterwards ok

They are standard on most cars

Yeah, mine has them, too. Could take or leave them honestly.

If you "left" them, you'd probably be unhappy with the damage to the paint in those areas. My "stickers" have plenty of knicks in them, after 55k miles..
