just had a play on the Korean kia web page where you now can build and cost a car. I built a rear wheel drive GT in blue with brown interior and the cost came up as 50,300,000w. That converts to $60360 Australia dollars or $45.750US. Let's hope it's under that price.

I think the Sunroof and the Drive 2 will be standard on the US Stinger GT AWD. But if that model comes in at ~47 grand and change, we are right in the sweet spot. German performance and Acura pricing.

Indeed we are!! The last things missing for me are being able to test drive and knowing the residual value/leasing vs financing info.

I hit up my kia dealer for actual price and test drive timings just the other day. Nothing yet.
Those $ conversions richard did in post 1 will be on the money I reckon.

Nothing confirmed, but summarising what we know from collective knowledge around here, for Australia...
July - Aud models in production.
August - first dealer deliveries and test drive invites.
September - release.

Hi , I'm from Melbourne. I've noticed that the top speck Stinger GT now reportedly sells in Korea for 48.8 million won, which is $58,247 Aust. If one also adds GST to that last figure, the Stinger GT could cost about $63,000 in Australia.

Also- in all the articles and reports I've read and seen on the Stinger, I have not seen a spare wheel in the boot ! Has anyone noticed one ?

Have seen what appears to be the centre of a mag wheel under a cover that holds a jack in some YouTube videos. So if there is a jack one would assume there is a spare. The Korean model has no wheel or jack.

Kia Launches Stinger Sports Sedan in Korea with a Super Sexy Pricetag

Good news if you live in Korea or have any aspirations of moving to Korea: you can buy the Kia Stinger sports sedan right now, and it’s priced to move.

According to WardsAuto, the new Stinger launched in Kia’s home country earlier this month after a launch party at the Grand Intercontinental Parnas hotel in Seoul and it has been affixed with prices between 10,000-20,000 Korean won (approximately $8,900-$17,800 USD) less than competitors like the BMW 4-Series and Audi A5 Sportback.

Equipped with the 2.0-liter turbo, which generates an estimated 255 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, the Stinger starts at 35 million won (approximately $31,000 USD) at base and goes as high as 37.8 million won (approximately $33,500 USD) for the Platinum trim.

With the 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 Lambda II, expected to offer an output of 365 horsepower and 376 lb-ft of torque, the Stinger starts at 44.6 million won (approximately $39,600 USD) for the Masters trim and tops out at 48.8 million won (approximately $43,300 USD) for the Stinger GT.

With the 2.2-liter turbodiesel, which is likely to be offered in Asian and European markets but not in the United States, the Stinger starts at 37.2 million won (approximately $33,000 USD) and rises to 40.3 million won (approximately $35,800 USD) for the Platinum trim.

A Kia spokesman told Wards that the lower price point is an effort “to appeal to buyers on (both) a rational and emotional level,” as well as to make it more attainable than rival vehicles. The same spokesman said that Kia has already notched 2,000 pre-orders for the Stinger, around 800 of which are for models equipped with the 3.3-liter twin-turbo.

The Aussie GT get's everything :) just pick your colours (....but we get no choice of any AWD versions for MY18 model, maybe further down the line?).

Iv'e said this before but straight international dollar conversions will not work. It will be a rough guide at best.

In every market, the price will be right ... it has to be, to succeed ;)
