So did a little more work this weekend on the Kia Stinger. A little more mock up and testing with some intake designs. After Dynoing the car with our intakes and muffler deletes we picked up an impressive amount of power! Also what are some kind of designs you guys would like to see out of the intakes? An open intake sitting behind the headlights? Maybe one with an intake box wrapped around it? https://www.facebook.com/torktuned/photos/pcb.1763087967096135/1763085787096353/?type=3

Very nice work! Impressive... What I've heard a few people around here say is that they want their intakes positioned in such a way that they've got more access to cool air and not warm air from the engine...

That's a novel thought, they want their "cold air intake" to actually intake cold air? Haha.
Seriously though this would be far more ideal than the version that has pics floating around here somewhere. (Although that version sure looks awesome)

Yes we are looking into a boxed cold air design. Possibly one with a section of the top removed so you can see the filter and it can get colder air from the hood meets the fender? We could also do it as an option as well so you can get the cold air box or just the intakes themselves.

I stole this from your Facebook page. I hope you don't mind! :p

Absolutely speechless...

KIA Stinger GT 3.3TT intake results.

Never, in the 20 + years of dynoing cars, modifying, building parts, tuning, ect.... have I ever seen intake(s) pick up power like this.

Our base line was 327 WHP at 6100 RPM. This is with just the muffler deletes. With the intakes on the KIA Stinger GT, we are now at 371 WHP at 6100 RPM!!! That is 44WHP gain at 6100 RPM.

WIth the muffler deletes and intakes, we have a 50 + WHP gain at 6100 RPM. I cannot wait to see what the gain will be with the secondary cats removed!!!

I am letting the car cool down (dinky little FMIC gets really hot during pulls) and going to make one more pass!!!

The first dyno chart is a mess, but its showing the stock, vs muffler delete, vs muffler delete and intakes (3 different charts, each with gains increasing).

The second dyno sheet shows stock vs muffler delete and intakes (2 different charts, showing stock, to where are at with the muffler deletes and intakes).

Stay tuned, because more exhaust and FMIC will be next!!!

Make the box out of clear plexiglass or something. Best of both worlds. You can see the "awesomeness" and still get the benefit of the box keeping the hot air out.

Has that been done before? I've never been one to care about dressing up under the hood. I was all about function. I had a car built one time and the builder was telling me all about spraying the manifold covers. I was just like, "yeah, no". Some kind of red or something. I just want the car to be fast and I never intend on opening my hood unless there's something wrong. :p

I have never seen it, but I imagine it has. All those cars with the neon and clear tubes and God knows what else they do under the hood.

Just to be clear...... are you saying you got about 12 WHP from the muffler delete and 44 WHP from the intakes? @Sales@Tork

I will discuss plexiglass as a possible option with my builder. Sorry but the neon will be out of the question. That is not our style t all lol.
