Somehow got a nice 3/8-1/2 inch mystery gash on the face a front caliper. Web search runs the gamut from Testor's red model paint (not heat rated I'd guess) to professional powder coating. Anybody have to deal with this?

Look at high temp paint for grills or engines, may not be perfect match but will make it less noticeable.

Probably something hard like a stone kicked up into the wheel.. this isn't a jeep, you know! :)

They also make brush-on caliper paint, which works pretty well too. This will be easy to use on touch ups then.

RAL 3020 is the Brembo red. If you use a product not suitable for high heat applications you will very likely get a change in color eventually.

If that does not worry you for a small touch up you can get the paint color from orbittx.com in Texas if you are in Nth America.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Thanks for all the suggestions. Going to try some Testor's Red and see what happens. $4.99/Amazon.

@RVance

did you end up trying with the testor's paint?
I also ran into that suggesstion from web but the heat resistance portion concerns me.

I used the Testors red paint and initially it looked like a close but not perfect match, but once the calipers went through a heat cycle after a drive it landed on being almost a perfect match. I've had the touchups done for a while now and the paint is holding up perfectly.

Yes, and it looks fine to me.
