Hi
I just wanted to post some photos of a Full PPF and Ceramic coating of my Stinger. The Detailer took off the door handles and mirrors to wrap the doors.

So, "full PPF" means the entire car being covered? And then ceramic over the PPF?

How much did that set you back?

That's pretty good if the results are perfect. My local shop does a full PPF for $5k; which is kinda ridiculous.

Yeah !!! There are so many people doing PPF now the price has come down. 5k is really expensive.

What PPF do you have on the car? When I was on the verge of buying a WRX STI I priced out XPel Ultimate PPF and a full wrap would have been close to $6K here in Maine. It's cheaper than a respray up here, but not by much. Having just the front clip is close to $3K. >_>

As far as I've been able to tell, reading here, there is no poor quality PPF now. All the common ones have good warranties at least five years. 3M's is ten years.

I agree if you go through an installer. But, You can still buy cheap crap on the internet and do it yourself.

Has anyone here heard of or had any experience with Opti-Coat Pro Plus Ceramic Coating?

Invisible Mask sells kits made for all kinds of cars, including the Stinger, so you can DIY. I just purchased one of the 24" hood/fender/side mirror kits and also purchased the headlight kit, rear bumper piece and door cups. I bought some extra 3M by the roll to apply to the doors and front bumper.

I would like to know how that goes I am working on doing mine myself. I am going to do the hood front bumper and rockers. I just finished the polishing to get rid of all the swirl marks from the dealer, I wish they would learn how to “prep” a car. Anyway I just ordered the PPF from Suntek which is self healing and hydrophilic so no need for ceramic.

What products did you use to get rid of your swirls? I have the same in my HiChroma red paint. Did you use a buffer/polisher or just hand polish?

Before I apply the PPF I will wash, clay bar, use swirl remover, and then polish.

That
That is actually cheap, It is more expensive over here, especially for full PPF. I paid $3,200 and that was for full front end, bonnet etc, under door handles and under the boot.Oh, that included Ceramic coating all over.
But for full PPF it can be anything from $6,000 upwards.

Presta swirl remover and then ultra polish. Used a porter cable polisher
