Power seat dementia

I have a 2018 Stinger GT2. I have always enabled the easy glide feature enabled so the seat slides back to get in and out flog the car. When you get into the car after 5 hours or so and press the start button the seat just stays in the same far back position. The way I get it to remember the power seat preset is to tap the power seat bar forward and hit seat 1 button and it moves into place. But when I get into it within 5 hours or so after doing this, the car remembers to go to the correct preset position. Is there a string discussing this? I used the website search but I couldn’t find anything. Thanks.

I installed some aftermarket products that put a soft cushion of sorts between each front seat and the console in order to help prevent losing things under the seat if dropped. I found that eventually - not right away - the one for the driver's side created enough drag for the seat movement mechanism that it would sense the resistance and not even try to move the seat when I started the car. It did allow me to fix that by pressing the #1 or #2 button on the door, however.

TL;DR - check to see if anything is hampering the seat's automatic movement. It will give up trying to move the seat if it senses enough resistance.
